This past weekend, we were able to create an grant an amazing family a rewarding and joyous occasion- a gender reveal baby shower with the unique theme of Bows (for male) and Bow ties (for girl). As the couple and their guests anxiously waited to find out the results of what the new addition of their family would be, we started off the baby shower allowing guests to vote on what they thought the baby would be. We had laughs, hors d’ oeuvres, and played a few games. My favorite was the “Old Wives Tale Game” where we asked the mommy and daddy to be (Again) a few questions that are considered ‘old wives tales; (for example, is the mommy carrying lower or higher. Low=Boy; High=Girl). This was a great game to segway into the cake cutting (i.e. the gender reveal).
I have never seen a man jump up so fast anxiously to cut a cake but this daddy to be (again) was eager to find out if he was going to have a mini me OR another girl in his world LOL…Take a look at a few images captured by the couple, Chauntel Desiree Photography
