Ever wonder where the term "shower" as in baby shower (or even bridal shower) was derived?  It represents showering the expectant mother with some form of gifts to welcome the new born baby. For this event, the mommy to be had her eye out on this rental space in SoHo area. Once we saw photos on line, we instantly fell in love and immediately came up with her vision board. From the colors to the patterns, she was ready to see it all come together on her special day. We wanted to play on the word" shower" we searched high and low for the pagoda style umbrellas in the color palette. We added crystals on the ends to resemble rain. Let's just say her guests walked into this space and didn't expect nothing less from their fashionista friend. The event decor exceeded her expectations and we were super happy to be able to make her special day a memorable event!

We had the opportunity of creating a "You are my sunshine" themed baby shower for an expecting mother to be!

We incorporated the trendy chevron pattern elements to the decor. Some of the amazing details included: beautiful arrangements made with hydrangeas and vibrant yellow garden roses; popcorn favors containing the words from the nursery rhyme; beautiful invitations; an accent wall used as the focal point to display a cake; lastly, an unique guestbook idea for guests to sign and the celebrant to keep forever as a nice keepsake!

This vintage inspired babyshower held at a private property in New Port Richey, Florida incorporated many décor elements that left the future mom to be in tears. This “Oh Boy!” theme really came about when the parents to be found out they were having a boy. Ritche’s (daddy to be)  first reaction was “Ohhhhh…..boy”. So, we took the statement and ran with it, hence the “oh boy” theme.

Some of the details consisted of customized menu cards, cake table “It’s a Boy Banner” made from cardstock and tulle. We also created floral arrangements using carnations, roses, hydrangeas, lisanthius, and blue thistle placed on cake platters throughout the guest tables.

The menu consisted of several delectable hor dourves such as miniature quiches, miniature pastries, fruit salad, etc. Guests loved the sweets table filled with an assortment of candies, chocolate dipped oreos and pretzels, and of course Blondie oreo cupcakes. The “Little Man Margarita’s” and the “Oh Boy Pina Coladas” were a hit.

This babyshower kept all the guests on the edge of their seats because instead of traditional baby shower games, we raffled off an array of wonderful prizes with the grand prize being a gift basic with an vintage inspired treats theme valued over $100. At the end of the shower, each guests took home several desserts from the sweets table as well as the cute popcorn favors. Floral arrangements, all stationary, décor items were handcrafted by Royal Events & Services. The cake pops were created by Jessica. The beautiful three tiered tasty baby shower cake was made by Christina.
