It's Our Anniversary! A stroll down memory lane!

September 25, 2014

It's our anniversary! Four years and still smiling!

You know you're in LOVE when you cant fall asleep because for once, reality is better than your dreams!
-Dr. Seuss

On September 25th, 2010, I made this vow to my KING :)

"I made a wish and YOU came true.
I wrote everything down of what I could ever want in a man, prayed over it, and let it go.
When I least expected it, you came into my life.
You’re my man. My KING.
You are my best friend.
Today I give myself to you in marriage
Before God, family, and friends.
I promise to encourage your individuality,
Because that is what makes you unique and wonderful. I promise to nurture your dreams,
Because through them your soul shines.
I promise to love you in good times and in bad,
when life seems easy and when it seems hard,
when our love is simple, and when it is an effort.
I promise to cherish you,
and to always hold you in highest regard.
I promise to be your partner, your companion in all things,
I promise to share with you the joys of life,
Because with you they will be that much sweeter.
I promise to give y
ou the most perfect love that some never can imagine.
Lastly, I promise to you my love and my trust,
For one lifetime with you could never be enough."

A few snapshots of our magical day!
Pictures are worth a thousand words BUT you had to be there to feel the love in the room! So many memories, memories of a LIFETIME!!!

My handsome GROOM. Love you to LIFE hunnie!!!

Some of my favorite photos of the ceremony. Priceless shots!!!

The photo to the far right is our nephew (aka Mr. Superstar). He sung "She's your Queen to Be" (from Coming to America) as he walked down the aisle! Someone needs to give this kid a music deal I tell you!!!!

My heart raced when we were introduced for the first time EVER as Mr. & Mrs. KING

                                                                             The bridal party

Our FIRST DANCE. What a magical moment!!!

Towards the end of the night, we (myself and my husband along with the bridemaids) changed into traditional African attire and thats when the REAL party began! We were blessed with an African tradition of a Money Dance!

To my lovely mother in law, you always told me you loved me, from DAY ONE! I thank God for allowing you to come into my life and also witness our special day.
I know that you are looking down, smiling at US all.
We miss you dearly and please know you are still truly loved.
Love you Nana!!!
